Two of our cadets were selected to represent Wing at this year’s inter-wing competition. Sgt Sula and Cpl Dodson left the Blenheim Triathlon early to be at Pear Tree Park and Ride for the coach trip to the competition. (Ed.)
One rainy morning Sgt Sula and Cpl Dodson went to Pear Tree services for Regional athletics at the oval in Tedworth where 36 cadets from Thames Valley Wing would compete in field or track events against other wings in the south west region. First was Cpl Dodson with his 400 m race where he came 5th but we still got some points for the final place in the South West Region, then was Sgt Sula with her 1500 m race. The highlight was the 4 x 100 m relay which Thames Valley Wing won by a mile. Then the rain fell down on us for a couple of minutes before the final race which was 5 x 400 m race which we lost but got some points for. Overall, Thames Valley came 3rd in the Region, better then last year when we came 6th. Sgt Sula and Cpl Dodson enjoyed the day.
